1. Who we are

VillaVerify (villaverify.com) is operated by Balearic Waves SL, a company registered in Spain with CIF B19739507 and registered office at Pl Dos Puntod Dos 120, 07820 Sant Antoni De Portmany, Ibiza, Spain. Domundos and VillaVerify are trading names used by Balearic Waves SL. You can contact us at hello@villaverify.com.

2. What VillaVerify does

VillaVerify is a free tool that checks tourist-rental licence numbers and listing/website URLs for properties in the Balearic Islands (Ibiza, Mallorca, Menorca and Formentera) against the official public tourist-licence registers published by the relevant regional and island authorities, and against publicly observable signals about the listing or website (for example domain age, legal-notice presence, and review metadata). It also maintains a directory of villa-rental operators, some of whom have been manually verified by us.

By using the site you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

3. Automated assessments: read this before you rely on a result

Most results on VillaVerify are produced automatically, by comparing what you submit against public data and applying our own scoring logic. This means:

• A result is an automated assessment, not a certification. We check ("verify") and "register-check"; we do not "certify" anything, and VillaVerify is not an official government body, consumer-protection authority, or law firm.
• We can be wrong. Registers can be out of date, listings can be mismatched, and automated signals can be misread. Every result carries a "data as of [date]" stamp showing how current the underlying register data was when we last imported it.
• Only a small number of results (those manually reviewed and confirmed under our evidence process) are labelled "Confirmed scam." All other risk levels (including "High risk") are automated, risk-phrased assessments, not accusations of wrongdoing. • A "Verified" badge on an operator profile reflects checks we have carried out ourselves; it is never called "Certified," and it is not an endorsement or guarantee of that operator's future conduct. See our Operator Terms.

4. No warranty; do your own checks

VillaVerify is provided "as is" and free of charge. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranty that results are accurate, complete, or up to date, and we accept no liability for any loss arising from reliance on a result, including a booking, payment, or deposit made on the strength of a VillaVerify check. VillaVerify is one input among several you should use before renting a Balearic property. If you believe a result about your property or business is wrong, you can contact us to protest it. See §5 and our Operator Terms.

5. Reporting, protesting, and appeals

If you run or represent a property or operator and believe an automated result is incorrect, you can contact us to ask for a manual review. If you believe a listing, website, or operator is fraudulent, you can report it to us. Confirmed-scam labels follow the evidence and right-of-reply process described in our Content, UGC & Blacklist Policy, including an on-page appeal route.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) submit false information through our checker, claim, report, or appeal forms; (b) attempt to scrape, bulk-harvest, or systematically reconstruct our underlying licence-register data or check logs through the site; (c) circumvent rate-limiting, bot-protection, or other technical controls; or (d) use the site to harass, defame, or misrepresent any person or business. We may suspend or restrict access for anyone who breaches this section.

7. Intellectual property

The VillaVerify site design, text, scoring presentation, and branding belong to Balearic Waves SL or its licensors. Public register data itself remains the property of the relevant public authority; we present derived, partial information only (see our Privacy Policy for what we do and do not publish about a licence). You may not reproduce, republish, or redistribute site content beyond normal personal use and fair citation without our permission.

8. Third-party links

Operator profile pages link out to operators' own websites. These links are marked nofollow and are provided for convenience; we do not control, and are not responsible for, third-party sites' content, availability, or practices.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ibiza, Spain, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that apply in your place of residence.
